Today was dress rehearsal for Zoe's dance recital. This is a video taken from my camera and it is really not that great, but I couldn't resist posting it anyway. You are going to die laughing! She was supposed to sing and dance, but she ended up yelling the words to the song and all the names of the dance moves. It was priceless. I don't think that many people watched their own kids dancing. She was so funny!!! She stole the show :)

Scary, but nice.....

While getting ready to practice the violin yesterday, Zoe found a rolly polly on the floor. She decided that she would pick it up and take it outside. On her way to the door, the little bug rolled in her hand. All in one solid motion she froze, screamed (horror movie style), dropped the bug, and ran sobbing straight into Daddy's arms. It was such a traumatic experience that I bet people two streets over heard her. She cried for a good 2 or 3 minutes. Once we got her settled down just a bit, her Dad told her to just step on a bug in the future if it scared her. Immediately she started screaming and crying again saying, "but they are nice! I don't want to hurt them." So sweet. Scared to death, but not going to hurt them :)

But, I wanna be like....
"But MOM, I wanna be like Princess Leia!"That was funny too, because she HATES to have her hair brushed. It is a daily chore, and I do mean chore. But I fixed it like she wanted through the tears and screaming so it would be just like Princess Leia...here are some pictures. The school pictures weren't all that cute, but these are priceless!

Rotten Applesauce
"That's OK...It must have been fine when my Daddy put it in my lunch, but he had to drive to school really slow this morning because he got stuck in traffic. It must have expired on the way here."Her teacher was so impressed with her excuse and made sure to share it with us when we picked her up. She's already looking out for us, and there will be no more flavored applesauce in the school lunch box!

"Umm...I have a situation back here"
A recent trip to the toy store, evoked these words from the backseat, "Umm...I have a situation back here." It was Grannie's birthday, but Zoe got the toy (this is the way it goes when Grannie is involved)! This cute little Ice Cream Cone Shooter. Ours is green. You push the button on the side of the cone and the foam ice cream scoop shoots straight up in the air. The scoop is attached to a string so that you can easily keep up with it when it is shot. That being said, Zoe was in the back seat of the car playing with the shooter when the string conveniently wrapped itself around the barrette in her hair. She very calmly let us know there was a situation before she began screaming her head off....She was trying to be brave anyway :) too cute!

"Awwwww Man!!!"
Those are the words I heard this morning. Every Monday and Thursday is required uniform day at Tutu's school. It means that she has to wear what I affectionately call her "monkey suit" (a jumper, sailor style button up white shirt, shorts, and tie). On those mornings we can be sure that she will not be happy about what she has to wear to school, and if we are lucky we are even given this awesome hands on the hips, bottom lip poked way out scowl. It is too funny! She really HATES wearing this. We all have those things that makes us go "Awwww Man!" and this is hers.
